Tomorrow's Memories 

 

Time sheds its hours like a tree sheds its leaves.

Life is made of give and take, and each day carries new beliefs.

For each ship about to sail, there are thousand returning.

And for every new born love, there's million lovers parting.  

나무가 나뭇잎을 떨쳐버리듯 세월은 시간들을 떨쳐버리며

인생은 탄생과 소멸로 이루어지고, 날마다 새로운 믿음을 가져다주나니

수많은 배들이 항해를 떠나가고, 또 수많은 배들이 항구로 돌아오듯

날마다 수많은 사랑이 생겨나고, 또 날마다 수많은 연인들이 이별을 하네

 

If in your thoughts, you must measure time into seasons.

Let its season circle only other seasons.

And we're aware that yesterday is today's dream.

세월을 계절들로 구분해야 한다고 생각한다면,

그 계절들은 또 다른 계절들의 순환일 뿐인 것을

그리고 우리는 깨달아야 하리 어제는 오늘의 꿈인 것을

 

Though yesterday plays no more its melodies.

And it drifts away like the clouds above the sea.

Leaving me tonight with my joys and tears behind.

And so distant light in the corner of my mind.  

비록 어제는 이미 그 멜로디를 끝내고

마치 바다 위의 구름처럼 흘러가지만

오늘 밤의 이 환희와 눈물들은 뒤안길로 멀어지나니

내 마음 한 구석의 아득한 불빛이 되고 말았네

 

 

Though yestersay slowly walked away from me.

Through the morning haze it has gone in harmony.
