I Come to the Garden Alone 

                   - 저 장 미 꽃 위의  이슬 -

 

 

 

I come to the garden alone   While the dew is still on the roses
저 장미꽃 위, 아침 이슬 아직 맺혀있는 이른 새벽에,

나 홀로 하늘의 정원에 이르렀다네

And the voice I hear falling on my ear The Son of God discloses.
그리고 내 귀에 이슬처럼 떨어지는 그 분의 음성을 듣고 있다네. 
창조주 하나님의 아들이 들려주시는 음성이라네.

And He walks with me, and He talks with me, And He tells me I am His own;
그리고 그 분은 나와 함께 걸으시면서,
나와 함께 이야기도 하시면서 그리고 그 분이 직접 내게 말씀하시기를
바로 ‘내가 그 분의 것’이라고 말씀하고 계신다네.

And the joy we share as we tarry there, None other has ever known.
그리고 우리 하늘 정원을 거닐 때

함께 나눈 그 기쁨은 아무도 알 사람이 없다네.

He speaks, and the sound of His voice, Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
그 분이 말씀하신다네.

그 음성이 얼마나 감미로운지 새들도 그 노래를 멈춘다네.

And the melody that He gave to me  Within my heart is ringing.
그 분이 내게 들려주신 그 아름다운 목소리가

지금도 내 가슴속에 울리고 있다네.

I’d stay in the garden with Him Though the night around me be falling,
비록 내 주위에 밤의 어둠이 깔리기 시작하나,

난 그 분과 함께 정원에 머물고 싶다네.

 

But He bids me go; through the voice of woe  His voice to me is calling.
그러나 탄식하는 목소리 가운데서 그 분은 내게 가라고 명하신다네.
나를 향한 그 분의 음성이 부르고 계신다네.
